Memorial Day Performance

Date: Monday, May 29, 2011

Report Time: 9:15 a.m.

Report Location: 2nd St. and Main - in the bank parking lot

Equipment Transfer: Pack your instrument on the truck Friday after school, or take it with you. We will load a full set of silks and marching percussion on the truck after school for the weekend.

Dress: Standard navy blue band t-shirts, shorts, and sneakers. Non marching band people may wear a navy blue t-shirt that is respectful, Northern Lehigh in nature if possible.

Inclement Weather Information: In the event there is bad weather, call the high school band room and listen for the message. I will used that phone on the day of the event as a means of instant communication with you. See information sheet for phone number.

End of Parade Location: We will process from the cemetery back to 2nd and Main at the conclusion of the ceremony at Union Cemetery.

Performance Plan: We will meet at the band parking lot to warm-up, tune, and go over our selections. We will line up in parade order and process to the cemetery. Those students who have not marched may either walk along in the formation as we process, or arrange a ride up to the cemetery ahead of the procession. Percussion parts may have to be altered to fit the personnel as well. Color guard will perform to the cadence as we process to and from the cemetery.

9:15 - begin warm-up/rehearsal

9:50 - form for procession

10:00 - procession steps off

11:00 - ceremony ends, process back

11:20 - return to 2nd and Main, pack truck and leave
