The Guidance Department has provided the links below to assist students in the following areas: registering and preparing for standardized tests; searching for a college, post-secondary school, or career opportunity; and applying for financial aid.
Bullying Prevention Consultation Line
The Office for Safe Schools, Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), is pleased to announce the availability of the PA Bullying Prevention Consultation Line. The Bullying Prevention Consultation Line is a toll free number that will allow individuals experiencing chronic and unresolved bullying to discuss effective strategies and available resources to deal with school-based bullying. This supportive resource has been developed in collaboration with the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention (CHPDP), and is available, at no cost, to students, parents/guardians and school districts across the state of Pennsylvania.

Messages can be left 24 hour a day, seven days a week, and will be returned Monday-Friday during normal business hours. The Consultation Line number is 1-866-716-0424.

The Northern Lehigh School District, in a consortium with all Lehigh County School Districts, has purchased a license to Career Cruising. Career Cruising is a web-based program that assists students in identifying their interests, researching careers, colleges, scholarships, and assists in tasks like building a resume and other work related skills. Students are able to develop portfolios that can be accessed throughout their years in high school and beyond. To date, almost 1200 students have used and created a portfolio on Career Cruising. We encourage you to check out this valuable web site.

Developed by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, Pennsylvania Career Coach will provide up-to-date local employment data such as current and projected job openings, recent job growth areas, estimated earnings and occupations that match with a user’s current skills and knowledge, as well as specific educational programs in the local area that will prepare an individual for a given occupation.

A valuable source for College Prep and Career Information.
Schools in the is your resource for finding college, university and career planning information. View school profiles on undergraduate degrees in business, computer science, engineering and technology, visual and performing arts, sciences and teacher education programs. Search for associate degrees, bachelors, diplomas and courses by location and subject. Request for information directly from the college.

The following agencies are used for counseling within the Northern Lehigh School District. For assistance, parents can contact the school counselor.

Since 1995, the mental health specialists at Nulton Diagnostic and Treatment Center have provided effective, compassionate behavioral health care to children, adolescents and adults. Their team includes board-certified psychiatrists, licensed psychologists and other professionals specially trained to diagnose, treat and manage behavioral health conditions.
